Are you a trainee or experienced therapist looking for a supervisor? I offer clinical supervision sessions online at the frequency that suits your practice. My style has been described as supportive, collaborative, compassionate and gently challenging when suitable towards encouraging your growth, with primal emphasis on prioritising your resilience and wellbeing. I do not see clinical supervision as 'case discussion' alone...sometimes the focus may be the challenges you may be facing in your personal life that inevitably impact upon your work OR an exploration of more practical questions such as setting your fees, identifying training needs OR steps towards gaining more work or diversifying your services.
Although the majority of my supervisees are therapy practitioners, supervision can be very useful for other professionals who are working with people and want to manage the impact of their work on themselves towards practising self-care or understand the relational dynamics with their clients or colleagues or address a specific issue or critical incident in the workplace. I can offer supervision to teachers, social workers, HR professionals, complementary therapists, managers, or those in the health professions.
I am offering the following types of supervision for qualified or trainee therapists:
-
Supervision for individual counselling with adult clients (18+)
-
Supervision for group-work (therapy groups, support groups, group coaching)
-
Supervision of supervision (for experienced or newly qualified supervisors)
-
Tutor supervision (for those teaching on counselling & psychotherapy courses)
I have a special interest in supporting bilingual practitioners who work bilingually and cross-culturally with clients of diverse cultural backgrounds. You can get an idea about my work in this area by listening to a podcast where I was an invited guest by the Supervision Institute (the podcast recording on Spotify appears as a blogpost under the Blog section of this website).
I am influenced by existential & creative approaches of supervision as well as the ‘Seven-eyed Model’ (Hawkins & Shohet, 2006) which provides a systemic framework towards understanding and framing the processes of therapy and supervision as a whole. I will work with you by attentively listening to your needs and dilemmas towards managing and thriving in your practice.
